Thanks for writing

I have to say that I enjoy reading all the things my family members write.  I love to hear about the kid's activities. Right now I am reading John's b log and it is amazing.  He must plan out a theme every night.  He not only tells a story but he teaches a lesson.  Much like Dad's journals of the TI days.  I appreciate your sharing your personal thoughts with us John.  I also get such a kick out of Amy... hilarious comments.  I doubt there is any family with so many talented writers - you are all so clever and I enjoy reading about you every time I can.

I am feeling sick today.  Dad is giving me a hard time because I am taking silver, apple cider vinegar, spray stuff and I am still feeling sick.  Head cold that makes you itch in your throat and in your ears.  My nose runs etc. etc.  Sure you don't want to know about this and I can't think of how I can tie it into anything spiritual or life changing.  Except that perhaps I am grateful that I only get sick once in a while and I know that one of the tender mercies of being sick is that you don't want to eat and since I have been sick twice this week... I have lost some pounds... yeah!

I made four wreaths today and one Christmas floral... I think I also put together several baskets.  It is fun to do this creativity.  Yesterday was our day off but we still made $249 because the guy came in to finish paying for his radio and a lady came in a bought a second bird cage!  Tomorrow is the order for the 15 baskets for my Relief Society which will help.  I also had a lady order a basket that she doesn't want too many sweets in.  I decided to do soup and bread sticks and then some cookies and fudge.  It was cool to hear what she wanted and then develop something.  I hope she likes my idea!

Many thanks to Laura for making all 15 baskets for me.  Especially since I haven't been feeling good, it was great to walk into the shop and see them all done!  Life is full of tender mercies brought about by kind and thoughtful actions of others.  It is all the better when we are focused on seeing what others do for us and then pay it forward to help others as well.

Oh my gosh!

I am always amazed when I finally figure out how to make something on the computer work... I just got myself to where I could add onto my blog... goooood for me!  Last night Amy told me how, but for an old woman, last night is a long time ago!

I really don't have much to say right now.  I have to think of ways to be clever like John and Amy.   I am working on it.  For now, I am exhausted... I think I just need to go to bed.  I have some orders to make for LBH.  I am loving that.  I get to order things but I don't have to put them in my house just in the LBH.  I would love to have all of these cute things but for right now I am excited to buy and decorate.  The LBH is pretty bare right now as we try to get some Christmas up and take down all of the fall stuff.  I need to get up early tomorrow and head over to get things arranged.

Well, life is good.  I look forward to writing again!

Happy Blogging

This is the first time I have blogged on my new blog that Amy bedazzled for me!  We are watching Rat Race and enjoying it.  It has so many crazy parts.  "Newman" just ran his van into Mr. Bean and is now going to drive him to Silver City, New Mexico.   Now Whoopi and her daughter are taking the short cut that the 'squirrel" lady told them about.  The football referee is driving a bus for all the Lucys and it is about to catch fire... Hilarious.

I am trying to stock up on some stuff for the LBH... there are some very neat things at waresitat... they handle lots of wholesale companies.  It looks like good and unusual and most importantly "cheap" stuff.  We'll see.

we did have a great Thanksgiving this year.  The church actually worked out very well  and it was so nice to have the food brought already made and ready.  There were 33 of us and we played Bunco and the kids had a good time playing various games and doing crafts.

Friday I came down with food poisoning and it was miserable.  I felt a little weak yesterday still but now by Sunday I am feeing fine and have enjoyed a day of laying around watching movies.  The snow has really come down outside all day, infact, Laura and Nigel just made it to Nephi and have had to get a place there for  the rest of the night.  Hope they'll make it in time for Shey's school.  At least I feel better knowing that they are safe tonight.

Had President Monson's Gratitade talk, It was a great lesson... I enjoyed reviewing it again.  I like the quote that said:  Living with gratitude everyday is like touching heaven (or something like that).  I would like to do a plaque of it.  Anyway, its been a good day and I am grateful for it!
